The robbery was committed at the Daly hotel, 22 East Third South street, shortly after midnight mid-night Tuesday, while JJndsuy and Pushy were sleeping. About 3:30 o'clock Wednesday morning, Lindsay awakened nnd noticed that Vincent Vin-cent was absent from the room. Thinking Think-ing it might be time to arlso ho looked for his watch In his vest pocket but found it missing. Thirteen dollars In money was gone from his trousers' pocket, also. Lindsay roused his companion, who searched his pockets, too. and found $10 in money and two watches missing. The two went iiiion the street and notified Policeman Emll Johnson of the robbery. Johnson took up tin search and found Vincent on State street, near Third South. lie placed him under arrest. At tho police station, when Vincent was searched. ?2'J in money and the watches wore found on Ills person. He broke down and confessed to the lobbery. Lindsay nnd Pushy mot Vincent on the Incoming train from Tooele county, Tues-dav. Tues-dav. and, learning he wns in need of help, thought to assist him by giving him a bed with them at the Daly. Vincent gave his age as 25 years, and said he is a laborer. |
