K. j No. n-IS, royall.v entertained a large number of friends Tuesdav evening at a banquet and dance at" the Alozart hall. The decorations were elaborate and artistic. White and purple- were I the colors used, streamers of bunting I reached from the corners of the room nnd were caught and festooned in the j center of the ceiling. An elegant array I of electric lights formed a half moon. For a couple of dances the other lights were turnod off and the guests waltzed "by the light of the moon." The banquet hall was beautifully decorated with cut llowers and streamers of white and purple ribbon. 011 which hearts were fastened. A sumptuous banquet ban-quet was served. Aliss Cora Ward of Mount Pleasant spent the week with her parents, Mr. and Afrs. E. J. Ward, in this city. J. W. Mo Ada m entertained his Sun-ila.y-school class at a skating party Wednesday evening at the Eldrcd. auditorium. au-ditorium. Mrs. Bert Pea- entertained at a family fam-ily diuner at her homo Sunday, in honor of her birthday. Twenty were present. A pleasant evening was passed. Alessrs. and Atesdamcs W. O. Bailev, 1). J. Vincent, L. W. Nuuall and J. W. Me Adam pleasantly surprised Air. and Mrs George A. (Muff at their home bunday evening, the occasion being Air. Clult s birth anniversary. The gnosis comprised the crowd which as bovs and girls were inseparable. Tho evening was delightfully sponl. in pleasant reminiscences rem-iniscences and sweet singing. A dainty lunch was served. Dr. and .Mrs. Georgo Ifobisou left Saturday lor a few weeks' visit lo the coast. A vcryi pleasant welcome home" social was given in honor of Walter Cox, Jr..
