Show CENTERVILLE 39. I Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Riuby entertained for throe couple Now Year's eve. The evening was spent dancing and refreshments refresh-ments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Hal Brown entertained New Year's eve for daughter of Richard and Loona France, by Bishop Therice Duncan: Shaitn Kent, son of Keith and Norma llollings-head llollings-head Black, by his grandfather Ted Hollingsliead. Thomas Q. Williams gave his granddaughter the new name of Kathy Louise. She is the new baby girl of Mr. and Mrs. Emery Williams. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Van-denburg Van-denburg was given the name of Matthew by his grandfather, grandfath-er, Thomas Vandcnburg. Suzy and Jim Tassle spent their Christmas week vacation at their farm at Clifton, Ida. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Mann and family are vacationing in California, trying out their new blue and white De Soto. Joan and John Losle were host and hostesses to 12 guests at a New Year's eve party. Christine Clayton had as her house guests for three days and nights, Sarah and Martha Stohl of Sail Lake over the New Year. A Centerville couple recently recent-ly celebrated their 15th wed- ding anniversary, Mr. and Mrs Fred Kershaw. Jean hastens to assure everyone she was married mar-ried young. A welcome addition to our near community is the Charm Ruth Forsberg Tingey en- j tertained at a little get-togeth- , er for Lucille Darley, Pat Reeves, Gay Allen and Elna Duncan. This is the first time they have been able to get together to-gether since Elna returned from South Africa. Lucille is attending the University of Utah and living with an aunt in Salt Lake while her parents are back east. Pat and Gay, both attended the BYU and knowing Ruth, a real good hostess I'm sure the food was delicious and the evening well enjoyed. Bob Pettit who attends the BYU motored home for the holidays. The evening was spent sewing and eating. Lin Anderson has been spending ten days with her grandparents in Preston, Ida. Mrs. Ernest Anderson went Tuesday to bring her back home. Geniel Reeves spent the holidays with her mother,' Reese. She is a teacher at the college of Southern Utah. Mrs. Ella Jones spent the holidays with her daughter Mrs. Dorothy Barber and then she left the day after Xmas for California. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Bass have enjoyed having their son Paul, home with them for the last 25 days. He left Wednesday Wednes-day morning for Santa Anna, Calif,, where he is stationed with the marine corp. Neale Jensen left Monday for Beloxie, Miss. He will be there seven weeks attending school in conjunction with his job at Hill Field. Keith and Ethelyn Ilarker have been visiting relatives and friends here during the holidays. They are now living at Ely, Nev. Mrs. Nellie Pratt, Thomas Linge and Mrs. Eleanor Zesig-er, Zesig-er, had as a guest three days of the holidays, Miss Knight from Nevada. She is a cousin of theirs and teaches school in Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. Carl B. Hathaway Hath-away of San Nateo, Calif, have beer, the guests of Mr. and Mrs Wayne Smith and Mr. and Mrs Phil Sessions. Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Sessions are daughters of Mr, and Mrs. Hathaway. Mr. and Mrs. Arol Pratt are happy to have their son Frank lin home with them again. He has been released from the1 navy. j Evelyn and Bea Smith are enjoying a pretty new car. Ben will really enjoy this on those hunting trips. I The Jaycee's sponsored two' Christmas lighting contests1 this year, one for the commu-j nity and one for the Jayceej members. Honors went to Ed Ray, taking first place; Bob Trump, second place and Grant Fredrickson third place in the community contest. I Honors in the Jaycee contest went to William Winn first; Art Lifferth second and Joej Tingey third. Congratulations to these six! people and Thank You to the Jaycee's for their efforts they! put forth to the community,! not only at Xmas, but all year.' Mr. and Mrs. Smith Randall, have been enjoying the holiday holi-day season with their sons, Jan! and Elbert. Jan, his wife, Ca-j role and baby will visit two weeks and return to Spokane, Wash, where Jan is stationed with the service. Elbert has been released from the service and he and his wife are at home in one of the new homes his father built on Third East.
