Sheets ;ir.. without foundation, the County Attorney and others detailed on the. c:i-e have information informa-tion up their sleeves of a startling nature na-ture in fact County Attorney Chrlstn-sen Chrlstn-sen admitted as much Wednesday when tho coroner's Jury adjourned until Hon-day Hon-day afternoon at 2 o'clock. In summing up the case he said" Evidence Is at Hand. "Evidence Is at hand which may brinif results. Wo arc following every clue no matter how InRlgnlflcant it may appear, ap-pear, and when the proper time arrives it will be produced This murder case nhall be sifted to the bottom. We will find tho guilty man or men If It takc5 months to do It The Jury will hear somo startling evidence, I think, before we are through with the witnesses to bo summoned." Overhears Conversation. Julius Gauer, one of the witness who testified before the coroner's Jury Wednesday, told of a conversation hs overheard In the Continental saloon the day of the shooting Two men, one of them an elderly gentleman anL ,,, other the bartender, wer talking ij'ut one of the suspects who have been - J surveillance. The elderly man said v.tv the BUSpect and Mr. Sheets had rjuar- I reled the morning of the shooting and that they almost came to blows According Ac-cording to what he had been told the trouble opened a breach between Mr Sheets and the other man which time would hardly heal. "Wasn't Sure of Time. William Gallachor. cook at the Saddle Rock restaurant, told the Jury that he saw XIr Sheets on the evening that he was murdered, but he wasn't 8ure whether it was 5 30 In the evening or 7:30. William Hepburn, a clerk In Auer-bach's Auer-bach's store, advanced what may be a new clue when he said that a strange man had been peen around the Sheets home fur Fi-y.-r.tl nights previous to the shooting. He had appeared to be there without any particular business, and was seen walking up and down the streets near the Sheets home Mr Hep burn will attempt to secure a gcod ! icrlptlon of the man from a number who saw him. Paid Insurance Day of Death. Testimony was introduced which pro d that Mr Sheets had paid his Insurance the day of his death. D. W., told of visits made to their respective offices Inst Thursday by Mr Sheets. In each case he paid his dues on J20O0 insurance in-surance and took the receipts therefor, w. In all ten witnesses were examined Wednesday. While few of them could throw any light n the mystery, a record was made of their testimony and overt little detail was recorded that might W possibly be of benefit should the gulitv M person bo apprehended.
