BINGHAM, Utah, Feb. 10. Thomas Jones, an old-time miner, committed suicide sui-cide in ihe rear of Miller's saloon this morning by sending a 45-callber ball through his brain. The deceased has been engaged In mining In Alta and Bingham for the last thirty years and at one time held valuable locations In the former camp, He had been a personal friend of Judge Lee, and about two weeks ago sent his former address to the Judge and seemed at the time despondent, and when In this condition would talk frcelv of an old love affair, and his friends bcllcvo this trouble of his youth, together with the drink habit, brought him to choose the means he did In ending his existence. As yet no relatives have been located. |
