Show MEDALS ARE PRESEKTED INDIAN 11 VETERANS Aged Men Are Given Bronze Emblems for Valor Shown Years Ago. The Utah Indian war veterans held their annual elTtlon of officers Friday evening, followed by a recoptlon and ball, In tho Thirteenth ward hall, tho lattor being attended at-tended by about ICO friends and relatives of the old campaigners. Tho bronzo med-ale med-ale purchased by tho Stato and given to tho members of the order wro presented to the members during the evening. Tho business session was held In the early part of the evening, and tho following fol-lowing officers were elected; O. P. Arnold, commander; Thomas Dob'son, vlco-com. mander; Jens Hague, assistant adjutant; S. D- Jackson, quartermaster; J Malan, chaplain. All then repaired to tho hall, whero many old-time dances wero hold, for which Andrews's orchestra, furnished the music. pedals Are Presented. The top bar Is embossed with an Indian chief's head, on each sldo of which are the dates 1850 and 1S72, tho dates of tho wars In the southern part of this and adjoining States, A red, whlto and bluo ribbon connects the top bar with a circle, upon which are tho words "Utah Indian war Veterans."
