The site eif the once popular bathing resort passed yesterday from the hands Q L H Gray to R. J. Evans. No I sooner had the transfer of the property been made than Mr. Evans gave an Option on It to Fred J. Senior of this city. A large Eastern syndicate, which is said to have an eye on other popular resorts In the vicinity of Suit Lake, and B local corporation already more or less Interested in the country round about Slack Rock, are now negotiating with Mr. Senior to secure control of the property. Ihe owner, own-er, sal I there Is no doubt of It ; that he pas sufficient financial backing to suing the thing himself, but preferred that the project he carried out by some one else if satisfactory terms can he reached. Three Railway Lines An Important feature of the new resort re-sort Is that It will be reached by one, or perhaps two electric lines, In addition to the Salt Lake Route. This would make Black Rock especially popular In 1 uis uf Its ui cesslblllty. Black Rock Is Ideally situated for such a reeort. The transfer of property prop-erty yesterday Included Fitch Island as well as Black Rock. They are located on the shore of the lake, at the foot of 1 the Oqulrrh- range, and. this Is one of I the few points close to the shore from which the water has not receded. There are, too, a number of fresh water springs that would furnish an ample water supply, both for the resort and the occupants of the cottages, and there seems to be no obstacle In the j way of making of Black B ck one ot the Ideal summer resorts of the lnter-mountaln lnter-mountaln country. |
