Relief society West Jordan stake tea in appreciation of officers and teachers of vari-ous wards was held Tuesday af-ternoon in the South Jordan ward chapel. Two stake officers from Bingham served on commit-tees for the social, Mrs. Ed W. Johnson in charge of the pro-gram and Mrs. Don Reid, tations. The color scheme for the tea table followed Relief society col-ors, with a lovely lace cloth over yellow and yellow tapers in blue holders. Marigolds and bachelor buttons formed the floral center-piece. Besides Mrs. Reid and Mrs. Johnson, attending from Bingham were Mrs. W. E. Day, Mrs. Joseph Spendlove, Mrs. Clive Siddoway, Mrs. Ted Robison, Mrs. Carl Cur-tis, Mrs. George Austin, Mrs. A. J. Sorenson, Mrs. Lavantha Gar-rett, Mrs. Elfie Reid and Mrs. Lawrence Snow. Over one hun-dred women were received dur-ing the afternoon. t Watts. A dinner in compliment to Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Faddis was pre-sided over by Mr. and Mrs. Ted Robison at Sturm's cafe last Thursday evrning. Sweet peas and snapdragons were used as floral decorations and places marked for the honurees, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Pearson of Midvale, Mr. and Mrs. William Allmark, and Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Grant. Firemen, Auxiliary Hold Outing The No. 1 Firemen and aux- - iliary traveled to Dry Fork Mon- - day evening at six o'clock for the annual picnic, planned by Mr. and Mrs. William Cook, Mr. and Mrs. John Creedon and Mr. and Mrs. Wilford H. Harris. A softball game was followed by a picnic luncheon served to about forty persons, grouped about a huge bonfire. It was the sixth wedding anni-- 4 versary of Mr. and Mrs. W. Dar-- J rell Kidd Sunday, and they marked the event with a dinner at their home that evening. A centerpiece of Regal lilies com-- J bined with pink carnations made the table attractive. Favors, urettes and perfume, were at places for the following: Mrs. Fanny Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Greene and daughter, Cheryl and Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Ablett. A balloon party Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gail Farnsworth was in cel- - ebration of the eleventh birthday of their daughter. Gloria Farns-worth, and was attended by 30 of her friends. A white birthday cake trimmed in pink and green set the color scheme for favors and table decorations. Winning prizes at games were Kenneth Hall, Katherine King and Doug-las Morris. Monday efning at Murray jity park a happy group, officers and teachers of the L. D. S. Bing-ham ward Sunday school and their families, enjoyed their an-nual picnic. Included in the 41 persons taking part in the games and program and enjoying lunch were Bishop David ('. Lyon. Faddis was presented a bathroom set Monday evening, when Mrs. E. V.. Longfellow was hostess at No. 2 Fire hall. Mrs. John West, Mrs. Ross Beckstead and Mrs. Louis Chase won prizes at bridge and tasty refreshments were served to ten. American Legion Compliments Mrs. ' W. L. Faddis A party in honor of Mrs. W. L. Faddis, who has left Bing-ham Canyon to make her home in American Fork with Mr. Fad-dis and children, Robert and Bar-bara, was given at the home of Mrs. J. Dewey Knudsen of Cop-perton Friday by the American Legion auxiliary. The living and dining rooms were decorated with vases of Madonna lilies combined with pink and blue larkspur and bowls of sweet peas, while an arrangement of snap-dragons was chosen to center the serving table. Mrs. Wayne Shel-ley, Mrs. Ross Hocking and Mrs. C. A. Morley were in charge of the entertainment. Besides Mrs. Faddis and aux- - iliary members named, those present included Mrs. John Dahl- - strom, Mrs. Francis J. Quinn, Mrs. Mike Brisk, Mrs. LuMont Cos- - grove, Mrs. John Johnsen, Mrs. Max DuBois, Mrs. Wilford II. Harris, Mrs. E. G. Ball, Mrs. S. W. Bingham District Teacher Weds Miss Ellen Sampson, a mem-ber of the Bingham junior high school faculty and formerly principal at the Highland Boy grade school, became the bride of Albert Ferguson of Eureka in Salt Lake City Thursday, June 20. The couple will make their home in Eureka. .
