Scoutmaster Don Laycock chaperoned the Copperton scouts at a swimming party Wednesday evening at Saratoga. The party went in the scout bus and swim-ming tests were passed. at South Jordan. An interesting program to which each ward con-tributed a number was followed by luncheon. Those women at-tending from Copperton includ-ed: Mrs. Albert Cheever, Mrs. Fred Cox, Mrs. Paul Kuhni, Mrs. C. E. Poulsen, Mrs. Harry Brown, Mrs. Charles Sax, Mrs. B. D. Ben- - LOCALS Pete D. Ruiz and Frances Gon-zales, both of Bingham, were married in Salt Lake City last Thursday, June 20. Mr. and Mrs. Merl Porter and two children, Charlotte and Doris, returned last Thursday from two weeks in Idaho Falls, visiting relatives, and in Wyom-ing, fishing. Sunday the Bingham softball Eagles team played at Tooele, losing 11-- 6. Another game was lost by the Eagles here Monday to the Bingham Radio team by a narrow margin, 0. Mr. and Mrs. II. R. Gust and family spent Sunday at Tooele and later enjoyed a picnic and swim at Black Rock. Guests of the family were Miss Peggy Pe-terson, Gerald Larsen, Frances Fennell, Mack Maupin and Max Golesh. Miss Bessie Peterson of Fair-vie- w is visiting this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Col-ya- r. Mr. and Mrs. Francis Beck of Midvale were guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Jensen Friday even-ing. Betty and Dick Tibbie return-ed home Tuesday with their par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Tib-bie, after having spent the past week visiting with relatives in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Arbuckle of Palo Alto, Calif., visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Sum-nic- ht Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Ar-buckle were enroute to Fruita, Colo., to attend a family reunion there. Tuesday, Edward Arbuckle, also going to Fruita from Calif-ornia was a guest at the Sum-nic- ht home. Mrs. C. F. Sullenger was hos-tess at a one o'clock bridge lun-cheon Wednesday afternoon. Guests were Mrs. Heber Nichols, Mrs. James Denver and Mrs. Frank Mead. Mrs. W. T. Rogers and daugh- ter and Mrs. B. D. Bennion and children enjoyed an outing at Lagoon Monday. The West Jordan stake Relief society presidency entertained at a party honoring the Relief so-ciety presidencies and officers from the nine wards that make up the stake Tuesday afternoon Miss Elaine Sorenson, Leslie Candland, and John Becker of Mt.
