Back From Los Angeles. Prof. R. R. Quay returned yesterday morning over the Salt Lake Routo from a visit to Southern California, accompanied accom-panied by his wife, who had been visiting visit-ing friends in San Francisco and San Jose. Prof. lQuay la enthusiastic ovor tho push of th piano men of Los Angeles, the elegant hostclrlos, mentioned roacs, geraniums and lemons, but when tho "street-car" system was , broached ho grow nervous and told of the lightning speed of thojr cars, and tho tremendous power of their "headlights," asserting that It was equal to a 10,000-candle power "searchlight."
