The party was returning from tho region of tho Furnace Creek mines, where they had been on a prospectlnp tour and were attempting to reach tho Needles when they lost their way. After wondering for many hours on tho deaert they wore discovered by Dolonfr and Goldberij by tho merest chance. A pack horao belonging- in tho prospectors hnd strayed from the party and crazed with thirst had wandurod into tho camp of Delong and Goldberg. Tho moil at once took up Us back trail suspecting some accident and following it until tho noxt morning, came upon tho party of five prospectors near Klnston peak in a most desolate and barren region. re-gion. All the men were exhausted, some of them were delerlous and ono of them had already become unconscious, and had been carried by his companions for a. considerable distance.
