Show TELLS OF SITUATION IN HAWAII NOW J. A. Cunningham, the well-known mining man, has just returned from a trip to the Hawaiian islands, where he went to endeavor to close a deal for the purchase- of a ranch including 184,-000 184,-000 acres of land. Before leaving the Islands Mr. Cunningham began negotiations with the local government for a large tract of land on which to open a now ranch. J. A. Cunningham, Jr., who has been In Hawaii since last January, returned home with his father and will remain here awaiting the outcome of the deal with the government. If it Is successful he will go to the. Islands again to take charge of the ranch. Mr. Cunningham says that the recent advances In the price of sugar are having hav-ing a salutary effect on Hawaii's principal prin-cipal Industry and that there Is a better feeling In business circles generally. |
