Show DANISH "SOCIETY PRIZES. The Danish -Sister Society of Utah held Its ilrL season's outing at Lagoon last Tuesday. Many valuable prizes were given a,way to the successful contestants con-testants who competed In the various events. Prof. F. W. Merrill received a full-size silk adllt made by the ladles of the society. Hart Udy, the winner of the nine-year-old boys' footrace received re-ceived a straw hat, the gift of the Sle-'gel Sle-'gel Clothing company, Chris Anderson, the winner of the ten-year-old boys' race, received a bicycle suit, which was donated by J. P. Gardner company; Edna, -Kyergaard, the Winner of the four silk handkerchiefs;" Alton Free, the winner of the six-year-old girls' race, received a beautiful doll, the gift of the society; Andrew Eltrem received a bottle of -wine .from the California Liquor company for carrying off thp honors In 'the gentlemen's kangaroo race. Mr. and Mrs. C A. Floyd carried off the honors in the waltzing contest. The former reclved a pair of. gold cuff buttons, the lattev a fancy silk collar. Col. Lund, who had charge of the outing, out-ing, reports that the fifteen hundred' excursionists had a most enjoyable time. |
