Mounted Patrolmen Sperry and Brown were dispatched to the scene and succeeded In frightening the men away. Later in the evening they came prowling around Samuel New-house's New-house's residence and they were detected detect-ed by his chaffeur. Bert Fuller. Seizing Seiz-ing his revolver, Fuller started after the robbers and gave them a merry chase. He fired three shots at them as they were fleeing, but the darkness Interfered In-terfered with his nlm and none of the shots took effect.
