Samuel Clou ten, whose career as a prpspector was terminated at St. Mark's hospital on Saturday, was among the first to penetrate the Deep Creek region and to the hour of death contended that with facilities for the movement of Us wealth it could not but forge Its way to a position among the most productive of Uath's mining camps. It was thirty years or more ago that he drove his first stake Into those diggings, his locations extending from Doly Varden to Clifton. In each of these camps he acquired prospects on which lie has ever relied for a stake. From the former he has brought some ore of fine quality, but his resources re-sources were never such as to enable him to systematically develop the group to which bio faith was pinned for thirty years.
