"Dlamondflcld Jack" was thrlco sentenced to be hung for tho alleged al-leged murder of two Bheopmen In Idaho. Tho 3entcnco was commuted to Imprisonment Imprison-ment for life, and after spending nearly seven years in tho ponitontlorv ho was pardoned by Gov. Hunt, tho tstlmony on which ho was convicted being impossible of belief, whllo afterwards others confessed con-fessed to tho crime of which ho was convicted. con-victed.
