Show UPHOLIJS BOARD OF HEALTH THE MINISTERIAL ASSOCIATION ADOPTS RESOLUTIONS J Comment Made on tho Keeping of I Mormon and Christian Science Sun daySchools Open l The Ministerial association at Its I regular weekly meeting yesterday upheld up-held the Board of Health In tho stand which It has taken in its endeavors to protect the health oC the city and tho following resolution offered by Rev George Bailey was unanimously adopted Resolved That tho Ministerial association asso-ciation does hereby express Its hearty sympathy with the city Hoard of Health In Its endeavors to protect tho health of our city and that It will continue t stand by lID board in those endeavors It also calls upon the board to UMC all legal measures secure general obcdl l once to its regulations In all sections oC tho city Considerable time was devoted to a discussion oC the action taken by the Board of Health regarding the closing of the Sundayschools it being participated partici-pated In by Rev Messrs Paden Illff MoNlece McLean and Hunt The ministers min-isters I who spoke all voiced the same opinion namely that If I ministers are In a community for anything It Is for the observance of law The question was brought up as to why the Mormons and Christian Scientists Scien-tists were allowed to hold services at their Sundayschools and the Protestants Protest-ants be compelled to close their I doors Tim prevailing opinion expressed upon that particular point was that the fact that tho Sundayschools referred to kept holt I doors open was no excuse for the Protestants to nullify the wishes or regulations of the Board oC Health The ministers present Indorsed tho Idea of trying to secure an Impartial enforcement en-forcement of tho regulations of the Board of Health but pledged themselves I them-selves to not open their Sundayschools until the regulation shall be repealed |
