Show PIERSQN INQUEST HELD NO ONE BLAMED FOB THE FATAL ACCIDENT ACCIDENTN Jury Pound No Felonious Intent on Part of Any One and Returned Verdict of Accidental Death An Inquest on the remains of W J Pieison who wan killed on the Rapid Transit car tracks on Seventh South and Ninth East streets Saturday night vvaa held by Justice J D Pardcc yesterday yes-terday morning George Inglmm Isaac Brockbank and A Milton Musscr wore sworn as jurors and a number of witnesses chiefly doctors were examined ex-amined Dr MHllron Dr Beer Dr Bower Dr Hatchings Dr Benedict and Dr Plerson the last named being a son of the dead oMotormnn Nelson Conductor McAfee Robert Morris and Fred Chandler Avero examined No now facts in connection with the matter 4 were brought out the doctors who had viewed the body tit the undertaking parlors of S D Evans merely testifying testi-fying as to the wounds Indicted by the car The theory that Plcrsan died of heait failure before being struck by the car was not advanced as testimony testi-mony The molorman of the car les tIlled that he did not see the man until the car wan faIrly upon him The headlight head-light which was a new one did not illumine the ground more than ten feet in advance of the car the motorman motor-man said The Jury returned a verdl > of accidental death the blame not being be-ing fixed The verdict read No felonious fe-lonious Intent was manifested by anyone any-one connected with the accident Piersons funeral will be held from the late residence 726 South Ninth East street tomorrow afternoon at 2 oclock The services will be conducted by C W Symons and the interment will be I in the City cemetery |
