Show FIRST CONGREGATIONAL SundaySchool Entertains Members of Other Schools Some COO or more young and old gathered at the First Congregational church last evening to enjoy the Chrlst j J mas festivities of the Sundayschool The First Congregational Sunday school entertained the members of Phillips Plymouth and the Chinese J Sundayschools and a right merry time they had t The feature of the evenings cntcri tainmont was the scenes from Little Men adapted from the Christmas Ladles Home Journal and those of tho older ones who saw the play lived over again the delightful hours spent reading read-ing Louisa Alcotfs famous book and to those who had not read It the scenes were fresh and charming The characters charac-ters were all well sustained and brought forth great applause Irene Lalcln was Aunt Joe Frank Alien I Al-ien l was Prof Bhaer Maud Miller was Daisy Wesley DIckenson tho mischievous I mis-chievous Tommy Bangs Earl Watrouo was Dan Vivian Tolhursl Bess Dorothy Doro-thy Savory Teddy Earl Farnsworth Nat and Forrest Martin Nan The Sundayschool orchestra composed I com-posed of the Misses Louise Nelden and Esthet Allen and Messrs Schettler Orlob Johnson Mackie and Morris Forbes gave two pleasing selections The boys of the Chinese Sundayschool gave a Christmas song At the end of the play Santa Claus Impersonated by John T Axton appeared ap-peared on the scene gave the children a great talk and distributed boxes of bonbons Two beautiful trees stood on tho platform bright with Christmas hangings and lighted with candles In addition to boxes of candy distributed the children of the visiting Sunday schools were each presented with one of Prangs pretty pictures reproductions r reproduc-tions of famous paintings |
