MURDER TRAIL AT BVANSTON A H Elam Is Acquitted Kern merer Case i Evanaton Wyo April GThe District Dis-trict court has been In sraalon here during dur-ing the week and will continue during the coming week The case of A H Elam charged Avlth murder In the first degree was begun on Friday and was submitted t6 the jury late thle afternoon Last October Elam was running the Commercial lhatel at Kemmerer He had a bartender named George C David It is alleged that ata very early hour on the morning of October 20th Mr Elam 1 after trip to Evanston returned home and found Davis under compromising circumstances In the bedchamber or Mrs Elam It is further stated that Mr Elam shot Davis twice Inflicting Iono slight wound In the fleshy part of II of the back and another severe wound I through the breast from which Davis died on the following day Much Inter S est Is manifested In the trial as the I Elam resided In Evanston for some years before moving to Kemmerer Whllo In this city Mrs Elam bore an excellent reputation and this unfortu tnate I affair Is much regretted The Jury this evening returned a verdict of not k guilty
