Show IRe I TALKS WITH TRAVELERS Rev Festus Foster pastor of the Congregational church at Robinson is In town on matters connected with building his proposed church He said Sam Mcintyre gave us a lot some f time ago which we s sold for 13750 applying ap-plying the funds to the parsonage We have that all built now and are rais ing funds for a 1000 church The size will be 21x50 feet wi 2bfO to bo divided Into a main auditorium 21x30 feet and two classrooms 12x20 feet each with fold Ing doors between One of these will be used a a readingroom and in the basement is to be a gymnasium Evangelical work In our camp has been of benefit to many and there is a disposition to extend a helping hand even from sources we would hardly look to so that I do not anticipate any great difficulty in raising the means with which to build the church edl fflce Owing to three of the mines hay ing shut down some of our congrega tion have gone elsewhere but I am In hopes of the mines opening again One way in which we are securing aid is in donations of land which we will sell and use the proceeds In building the church S Rev Dr Ingcrsoll of Brooklyn who preached in the First Congregational church Sunday Isa member of the executive committee of the Congregational Congrega-tional homo missionary board and is specially interested In Western missions mis-sions In fact while his trip West is in the nature of a vacation he Is also looking over the home missionary field as he passes through He remarked < yesterday There is a great and glorious glor-ious work going on in this Western country I noticed It particularly in i Colorado where we have some herolc and indomitable mission laborers There are marvelous opportunities In this great region to develop and enlarge j en-large the cause of Christ and H Is gratifying to realize that so much is being done I am greatly taken with this city and the lake It is a pleasant country to Visit The doctor and his wife are en route to Yellowstone park 68 WB
