Show IN TDK L1UHT OF THE "SUN." The New York Hun in commenting tipon the recent election in Rhode Island denounces the free trade cru-cade, cru-cade, and ridicules the idea that Cleveland Cleve-land is so much better than his party that he can draw enough republican Votes to elect him. Says the Hun: "Republicans "Re-publicans have a habit of voting independently, inde-pendently, or of not voting at all, in off years; but they do not do this in presidential presi-dential years, as the democrats have learned to their sorrow. Any expectation expecta-tion therefore of carrying any northwestern north-western or New England republican state this year is mistaken." The Sun as a prophet is without honor among Clevelandites, but tells the cold truth here. . |
