Show The Old Folks. The Old Folks' day entertainment at the Theater yesterday afternoon was well attended. at-tended. The Lyceum Dramatic company entertained them with "The Banker's Daughter." Daugh-ter." The house was very well filled, there being somewhat over a thousand people present. Mrs. Mary W. Sprague, born in Boston March 1, 18(13, and who came to Utah in 1848, was the oldest lady present. William .lacker, who was born in England Eng-land in January, 1801, and eaine to IT tat) in 18M, was the oldest man. Mr. Jacker also enjoys the distinction of never having been sick in his life. Taking it altogether, it was a very enjoyable afternoon. The old folks would like to return thanks to tle committee commit-tee of arrangements and all those that took part in the entertainment aud also to Superintendent Super-intendent Reid and Superintendent Hinckley for their kiudncss. |
