Show BOUXB FOR HAWAII. A Son of a Pioneer Missionary l.n te to His Island Home. Rev. Henry H. Parker, for many years pastor of the Kawaiahao Congregational church at Honolulu, spent Sunday in Salt Lake, en route home after a several months tour in England, Scotland and France. Mr. Parker is the sou of the late B. V. Parker, one of the pioneer missionaries sent out by the American board, at an early day, and was reared on the Hawaiian Islands. As a pulpit orator Mr. Tarker is said to have few equals, and his congregation is the largest as well as most influential at, Honolulu, the present Queen Liliuokalani being one of his parishoners. and a regular attendant at his church. While here he was the guest of Mr. AS'. A. Kinney and mother. |
