Thorne, aliaa Dorsey, and Shinny the escaped California convicts who were captured in Chicago this week after turee years of liberty, will have some new and grave charges to answer. Capt. Aull, now Warden of Folsom, but an officer of San Quentin when Thorne was confined con-fined there, has been gathering evidence against both the escapes, and he now declares they are the two men who perpetrated per-petrated the Pixley train robbery on the Southern Pacific railroad about year and a half ago as well as another train robbery, several highway robberies and one murder. The Pixley robbery is a celebrated case, as the tralu was stopped in the heart of Tulare eouuty, the express car robbed and one passenger passen-ger killed. Among the robbers there were a tall and a short man. - Dorsey, alias Thorne, is tall, and has a record that justifies oflicers in saying he would not stop at murder on the least provocation. provo-cation. Shinn is a short man and was sent up for train wrecking. After their escape from San Queutin the convicts went to Chicago, and then returned to Sacramento county, where they camped in a cabin about a mile below the state capitol. While hiding hardly a night passed that some man was not held up on the streets of Sacramento, and inva riably by twd men, one a tall man and the other short. Capt.
