Show Firemen Install Officers for Year At a well attended business and I social meeting of the Bingham firemen, fire-men, held at Fire Hull No. 2 Tues-i Tues-i day night, officers of Companies One, and Two. and joint department officers of-ficers for the present year were I installed. B. A. Hooking, veteran fireman of Bingham and for many years chief of Company No. 2, was the installing officer, and John T. West acted as marshall. W. H. Haris as sworn into office as president of the department; Vern Faddis. vice-president; James culle-ton. culle-ton. secretary, Boy Nelson, treasurer. Officers of Company No. 1 were installed as follows: John Creedon, chief; Ray Tatton, assistant chief; James Culleton, secretary ; Irvin Stillman, treasurer; Marlin Scholte chairman, and Jack Householder, vice-chairman, Company No. 2 installed the following: fol-lowing: Ted Robison, chief; Veru IFaddis, assistant chief; John Hatchings, Hatch-ings, secretary-treasurer; CHve Sid-dowav, Sid-dowav, chairman. Committees for the year will be named at the regular joint meeting next week, it was aunounnced. Followine the installation ceremon- ies, Dr. Smernoff was presented with a gifttwo medical hooka by the members of Company No. 2, as token of appreciation for his fine work in instructing the first-aid team. Under Dr. gmernoff's able tutelage, the company's first-aid team won first place at the invitational meet at Magna last summer, and won second prize at the state firemen convention at Heber City. Guests of the firemen at the meeting meet-ing included: Battalion Chief Jack Piercey and Mort Hogan, of the Salt Lake City fire department; Eugene (Morris, city clerk ; rostraaater M. L. James, and n. O. Barrows, publisher. publish-er. . . A sumptous lunch was served ty a committee at the close of the business busi-ness session, and the evening was concluded with a social hour. |
