We went to Provo Canyon. Bight then I started to enjoy myself, I rrot sick and had to come home. Mother called a doctor. When the doctor came he examined me and said I had to stay in a dark room for nine days. The school nurse came and gave us a sim "Measles". When mother brought me my lunch I said, "Mother I have not had a very good vacation". She said "Neither have I". Beth Cowdell e My Borrowed Scooter When I was a very little boy I had a scooter. One day it disappeared and I hunted and hunted for it. I was sure some one had stolen it. One day I found it lying in the ditch. I looked and saw a little girl coming com-ing toward me. Sho said she had borrowed the scooter and had forgotten for-gotten to bring it back. She was very very sorry. Gid Jackson The Broken Bicyclei Once my cousin and I were riding our bicycle. She said "Lets close our eyes and see if we can go straight ou the side wnlk." "I said all right lets go." I got half way down the sidewalk. I thought I was to a bend. I turned over on the grass and bumped in to a tree. The wheels hit the tree and broke five spokes. We took it home and showed my dad. He said he would tako it up and have it fixed. When he came home, nele.n and I went around the block on my bicycle and I watched where I was going. I never broke it again. Ilia Caldwell |
