operator at humboldt recently located a six foot vein of ore in the district mr stinson is at present in the hills with a practical miner and the two have traced the lead for a distance of over half a mile searchlight searchlight on the blackhawk group thomas gahagan is having preliminary surface work done for the purpose of determining the best location for a main working shaft he intends sinking at once down to water level mr gahagan in speaking of the property said that he had found so many fine places on the surface that it was more than likely that he would decide to sink several deep shafts beatty bullfrog miner malcolm A macdonald vice president and consulting engineer of the montgomery shoshone is in beatty looking over the wonderful mine in which he is a heavy owner he and other eminent authorities agree that it is one of the greatest gold mines in the world from the bottom of the shaft which is seventy feet below the floor of the tunnel ore is being taken out in development work ely mining record D C mcdonald and charley johnson came down from the success mine sunday and charley returned the next day with a load of sullies su plies he has a lease on the south end of the mine and the coming week will ship out seventeen tons of ore and will ship regularly during the summer and fall mr madonald Me Donald his has a force steadily at work on the mine and is probably be here for eight or ten days to take a good look at the mining prospects in this section yerington times william richard who has a promising copper prospect in the mason pass district has bonded his group of five claims to edwin C pohle and G L garrison for a period of six months for with a payment of 1000 down in the claim which has been opened up there is s a five foot ledge showing copper ore which assays essays 26 per cent and carries about 6 in gold and silver values the parties who have the bond expect to do considerable development work on the property this summer mr pohle is lately from colorado but is now located at reno where he has a mill for reducing ores by the process he seemed to be pleased with what he saw in this section and will be here again soon to take a more extensive trip around the country yerington times H G wedekind who with other reno parties is developing a gold prospect pros a few miles northeast of yering tong ton made a strike in the mine this week which he believes will enhance the value of the property materially in the drift being run from the main incline at the twenty five foot level and in a distance of about thirty feet the vein shows up some splendid looking ore which looks as though it would carry in the neighborhood of 1000 ounces of silver to the ton the vein is quite prominent but enough work has not yet been done to tell what amount of this material there is mr wedekind is very much pleased with the strike however and has become so much interested in the property that he dont know whether he wants to sell it or not ely news the long looked for reorganization of the mckinley mining smelting smelling Sm elting company has taken place or rather a new corporation has been organized under the laws of nevada to operate what are called the mckinley mines in robinson district articles of incorporation were filed in the office of the secretary of state this week the new company is called the mckinley consolidated mines company the capital stock consists of shares at a par value of 1 each M C barber of canton ohio J A of carson city fred of warren pa harvey B lutz of lancaster pa and W N mcgill are the original incorporators the company has eighteen patented mines to operate upon and it is the intention to commence work as soon as material can be obtained goldfield sun malcolmn macdonald of the montgomery shoshone mines company of bullfrog returned to goldfield yesterday after an inspection of his properties in that district and announced that a large shipment of second and third class ore was ready to be sent to salt lake city via goldfield mr macdonald stated that the shipment will run from to per ton the first class ore being taken out which assays essays as high as and to the ton is being stored in the mine and will not be shipped for some time he says the work of crosscutting cross cutting the ledge has progressed a distance of feet and that the foot wall has not yet been
