repeated a number of times and can also be done by turning around bringing ones back to the back backof backof of the chair putting the arms back grasping the chair with the hands h and then drawing the body rd and forward between the arms Exercises to develop the arms The punching bag if used in moderation will develop both the forearm and up upper upper upper per arm Light dumbbell exercises will do the same If the subject is not ac accustomed accustom custom to exercise with dumbbells and is not strong the dumbbells should not weigh more than half a pound apiece All of the arm exercises accomplished all at once Second Stand firmly feet together r bend the right leg at the knee lifting I up the leg lek until the arms can be clasped around it Bring as much pres pressure pressure pressure sure to bear as possible upon the time mus inns muscles muscles cles des of the thigh Lower the leg and repeat with the other knee Third flat fiat on the back lift lif the legs until the feet A very good foot for the development of the calf is to sit on a chair having first on a loose I and comfortable slipper place the foot comfortably on the floor and now raise the weight W ight on the toes arching the time instep and stiffening the muscles of the leg Lower the foot and repeat until the tile leg begins to feel tired This exercise will serve the purpose P of arch arching archIng
