Show S8th Infantry Continues Recraltinf Tounf Men Colonel William C. Webb, army recruiting officer for the Rocky Mountain area announced that 28 men had been enlisted during the first 10 days of February. Of this number, two were enlisted in the Air Corps at Hamilton Field, California Cali-fornia and two for Crissy Field, California. The remainder were assigned to the 38th infantry at Fort Douglas; many of these men enlisted with a view to taking advantage ad-vantage of the educational opportunities oppor-tunities offered at Fort Douglas. The strength of the 38th infantry infan-try has been increased from 887 on January 1, 1936 to 953 at the present time, Colonel Webb said-Men said-Men living in Salt Lake City should apply in person at the Army Recruiting Office, 223 Ness Building. Build-ing. Those living away from Salt Lake should write the Recruiting Officer for Information about the date that a recruiting party will be in their home town. i |
