Friday we will have a Valentine party. We went to the Second and Third Grade's Lincoln rrogrnm. We on-Joyed on-Joyed the poems and songs. We liked the play best. We learned how to accept an Invitation, and to thank them for the invitation. First and Second Grade. We have a Valentine Box in our room. It Is made of red and is,lte paper. Red hearts ore pinned on it. We think it is very pretty. We have been making Valentines In Art class. It was La Mar's birthday last Friday. He sent us each an all-day sucker. We wrote him a letter and told him thanks. Today we had a program to celebrate cele-brate Abraham Lincoln's birthday. We Invited Miss Hopkinson's boys and girls to It. We all sang America Ameri-ca and the Star Spangled Banner. Elaine, Beth and Kent recited poems. po-ems. John Russell, Gld and Dclmar were in a play. All the rest of us had short verses to say about Lincoln. Lin-coln. We wish we could always be as brave, kind and honest as he was. Second and Third Grades. |
