For the purpose of shoving the housewives of Bingham that it is not necessary to go out-of-tow- n to buy an electric washing machine Or ironef, dealers here are staging an ex-hibit and demonstration at So-ciety hail next Wednesday, February 19. All leading max-e- s of machines will be on dis-play in five booths; and a "washing school'' will be con-ducted. The machines are all priced at exactly the same pric-es as Salt Lake City or else-wher- e. Sandy, "the friendly lhilo-sjopher- ," radio character, will act as master of ceremonies, and witl conduct a demonstra-tion of the use of soaps in the washers. Each lady attending will re-ceive chances; on valuable priz-es, the rrmin prize being a set of double drain tubs. Dealers participating in the washer show are: Bingham Merc. Co., Bingham Radio Shop. It opens like a lid of a egg basket. A ruffle of blue and then delicate pink lace, a pink satin ribbon bow Is on top and flowers pink and beautiful. Come with valentines 'Incy and grand- - We have a pretty Valentine box In our room. The boys and girls have been busy filling It. We have made many kinds of valentines. Friday we will have a Valentine party. We went to the Second and Third Grade's Lincoln rrogrnm. We the poems and songs. We liked the play best. We learned how to accept an Invitation, and to thank them for the invitation. First and Second Grade. We have a Valentine Box in our room. It Is made of red and is,lte paper. Red hearts ore pinned on it. We think it is very pretty. We have been making Valentines In Art class. It was La Mar's birthday last Friday. He sent us each an all-da- y sucker. We wrote him a letter and told him thanks. Today we had a program to cele-brate Abraham Lincoln's birthday. We Invited Miss Hopkinson's boys and girls to It. We all sang Ameri-ca and the Star Spangled Banner. Elaine, Beth and Kent recited po-ems. John Russell, Gld and Dclmar were in a play. All the rest of us had short verses to say about Lin-coln. Webb, army recruiting officer for the Rocky Mountain area announced that 28 men had been enlisted during the first 10 days of February. Of this number, two were enlisted in the Air Corps at Hamilton Field, Cali-fornia and two for Crissy Field, California. The remainder were assigned to the 38th infantry at Fort Douglas; many of these men enlisted with a view to taking ad-vantage of the educational oppor-tunities offered at Fort Douglas. The strength of the 38th infan-try has been increased from 887 on January 1, 1936 to 953 at the present time, Colonel Webb said-Me-living in Salt Lake City should apply in person at the Army Recruiting Office, 223 Ness Build-ing. Those living away from Salt Lake should write the Recruiting Officer for Information about the date that a recruiting party will be in their home town. i Community Church Rev. Talinage II.
