Tho Ladies Fire Auxiliary of Copperfield held their regular meeting at their hall Monday even-ing. Mrs. Rachel Pnrk3 presided-Followin-the business meeting, five tables of "500" were in play. Mrs. Marie Miller won the prize for high score. Mrs. Rhetta Scott, second and Mrs. Rose Mace, third. Mrs. Amy Walters won the house prize- - Late in the evening a lunch-eon was served to 25 members. Bride's Shower Given. Honoring Mrs. John L. Petkovich, nee Katherlne Cunich, daughter or Mr. and Mrs. Matt Pezel of High-landbo-a miscellaneous shower was given at the Pczol home Wed-nesday evening by friends of the brrdo. Mr. and Mrs. Petkovich were married in Salt Lake City February 10, and will leave today to make their home in Detroit, Michigan-Mrs- . Petkovich received many beau-tiful and useful gifts. 0 Mrs. Tregaskts ttoiltss. Mrs. Sid Tregaskis was the charm-ing hostess at contract bridge at her home in Highland Boy Tues-day evening. Three tables were in play. Mrs. Ray Stevenson won the prize for high score, Mrs. E. A. Miller won the consolution, while the house prize went to Mrs. Chas. Austin. J- l- Mr. and Mrs. Loren Kllng of Los Angeles, California, announce the birth of a son born Fob. 7th, in Los Angeles. Mrs. Wang will be remem-bered by her many friends in Blng-ha-as Vivian Rimbay. ' Club Dinner. Mrs. Elliott Evans was hostess to her bridge club at Sturm's Cafe, Wednesday evening. A seven o'clock dinner was served, covers being laid for 18 guests. Following the dinner, four tables of contract bridge were in play. Prizes for the evening were won by Miss Mable Ncptrude and Mrs. John Dahlstrom. JX Contract Bridge Club Meets. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Frazlcr were the-- genial hossts to their evening club at their home in Coppcrton Wednesday evening. Two tables ot contract were in play. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jones won the bridge prize, Following the card games a de' licious luncheon was served. Auxiliary No- One Entertains. The ladies of Fire Auxiliary No. One were hostesses to Fire Auxil-iary No. Two, at a card party at their hall Monday evening. Nine tables of auction bridge were in play. Prizes for the evenings play were awarded to Mrs. Bert Giles. Mrs. Ed Newman and Mrs. John Creedom. A committee, composed of Mrs. Art Cook, Mrs. Jack House-holder and Mrs. Dormus Larsen, served refreshments to 36 guests. Jl ' Mrs. Stillman Hostess. Mrs. Irvin Stillman entertained the members of her card club at her home Wednesday evening. Two tables of auction bridge were in play. Mrs. Jack Householder play-ed high. Mrs. Howard Barrows played high for the even-ing. Following the card games Mrs. Jsbella served a luncheon to Mrs. Will Mclvor, Mrs. C. A. Morley and Mrs- Barrows. Mrs. Morley Hostess. Mrs. C. A. Morley was the charm-ing hostess at contract bridge at her home Thursday evening. Mrs. Howard Barrows won the bridge honors. Following the card games a delicious luncheon was served by Mrs. Morley. Clvio Club Meets The Bingham Women's Civic Club held their regular meeting Thursday evening of last week at the Legion civic center. Mrs. Con-nie Harris, president, presiding. A tine program was given consisting of: musical numbers by Miss Lena Thurber and Margaret Ireland, "Women of the Stage" By Mrs. John Dahlstrom. Following the meeting Mrs. Ross Hocking ana Mrs. Howard Barrows, served re-freshments- -- S W. O. I. O. Club Meets. - Members of the U. I. G. Club met at the home of Mrs. Eleanor McDonald, in Copperfield Thursday evening of last week. Three tables of "500" were in play- - Prizes for the evenings play went to Mrs. Eva Watson, Mrs. Gladys Quinn and Mrs. Berntce Foster. Late in the evening a delicious luncheon was served to Thelma Barrett, Agnes Steele, Helen Cunliffe, Gladys Quinn. Eva Watson. Emma Nicholl, Bernice Foster, Flossie Anderson, Vt ra Johnson, Rhetta Scott, Elva Jensen and Mrs. J. Anderson. Hlfhland Boy P. T. A. To Meet. The Highland Boy Parent Teach-ers Association will hold a meet-ing at the school Monday evening t 7:30, weather permitting. Dr. Russell Fraaier will be the main ipeaker of the evening. Music will be furnished by the Highland Boy chool girls. A paper on the P. T-- , A. will be read, followed by an accordian solo, by Evelyn Epis. The public is invited to attend this meeting. -- ; Jt Birthday Tarty Given. In honor of the birthday annl- - ' versary of her littla daughter Mari-an, Mrs. Bryan Bird entertained 20 small guests at a party, at her home Tuesday afternoon. The time was, spent in playing various games. Prhtes were won by Coleene Robl-on- , Dorothy Kosovitch, Wayland Stevans and Ren Adderly. Valen- - ' tine colors were carried out in the decorations and menu. A birthday cake with lighted candles greeted the youngsters as they participated in a luncheon served by Mrs. Bird. Guests bidden included: Alaine, Coleene and Lorretta Robison, Jan-Ic- e Hocking, Chick and Ren Ad-derl- Mary, Annie, Dorothy and Katy Kosovitch, Katherine King, Donna Throckmorton, Kay Robi-son, Kenneth LeClaire, Wayland Stevans, Bert Wright, Billie Mc-lvor, " Donald Throckmorton and Marion and Gloria Bird, Marion received many lovely gifts from her friends, who wished her a very happy birthday. Ladies Aid Meets. The Ladies Aid of the Community Church held their regular monthly meeting at the church parlors, Fri-day afternoon of last week. A one o'clock luncheon was served by the hostesses, Mrs. A. C. Larick and Mrs. Will Trcvarthen. Following the luncheon Mrs. A. C- Morley entertained with a violin solo and Mrs. J. B. Meyers read a story. The remainder of the afternoon was de-voted to business with Mrs. Bills presiding. Health Hygiene Classes. Dr. Paul Richards was the main speaker at the health hygienic class Monday afternoon, speaking on "Civic Health". These meetings are conducted each Monday afternoon at No. One fire hall at one o'clock under the supervision of Mrs. Susie Winward, of the American Red Cross Chapter, in Salt Luke City. All ladies in Bingham and vicinity are invited to attend. Rebekah Lodge Meet. The Ruth Rebekah Lodge met in regular session Tuesday evening at the Legion civic center. Mrs. Car-rie Kreason, noble grand, presided. Following the business meeting, a social hour at cards was enjoyed-Th-prize for high score was award-ed to Mrs. Tom Nerdin. Mrs. Krea-son, hostess for the evening, served light refreshments. Shower for Recent Bride. Mrs. Rex Palmer, nee Miss Mar-- I jorie Scott was the Inspiration for a miscellaneous shower given in her honor, by the ladies Methodist Aid, at the school auditorium in Copperfield Thursday evening. Cards were played after which a delicious luncheon was served to approximately 60 persons. - Miss Savin Honored. Miss Ruth Savin was the inspira-tion for a surprise party given in ' her honor by Highland Boy resi-dents, at the community house Mon-day evening. The evening was spent in roller skating, after which a de-licious luncheon was served to 30 guests. Miss Savin left Tuesday for Marysvale, Utah where she has ' ac-cepted a position. - jt Emanon Club Dinner Bridge. Mrs. Art Macke was the charm-ing hostess to the Emanon Bridge Club at her home in Copperton Tuesday evening. A seven o'clock dinner was served to twelve guests, after which tables were arranged for contract bridge. The bridgs favors were awarded to Mrs. Rex I Tripp and Mrs. Paul Richards.
