Show LATEST DIMES. GENERAL. SAX FRANCISCO. A Bis Blaze Dou Piatt's Story Denied. San Francisco, 12. The North Point dock bonded warehouse was almost entirely destroyed by fire this afternoon. The building was two stories high and covered about an acre of ground. The origin of the fire is unknown. The building was being closed when the tire broke out, and the employes were absent at dinner. The contents cempriaed wines, liquors, Bugar, bags, glass, crockery, iron, etc. The loss on the contents is estimated at upwards of a quarter of a million, mostly covered by insurance insur-ance in foreign companies, us well as ihe building, which was valued at $100,000; insured for $20,000. Among the principal owners of the merchandise merchan-dise were Dickson, DeWolf & Co.; Holbrook, Merrill & Co.; Balfour, Guthrie & Co.; Locke & Moatague; Amnion, Caspars fc Co.; Hellman Bro's, and others. A portion ol the gooda stored on the lower floor, near: tne front, was saved in a damaged condition. The walls of the bniiding are standing, otherwise it is a complete com-plete wreck.
