Alfred Baddley, while herding with some other boys in Emigration ca lion on Monday, was playing with a rattlesnake, the viper sprang at and faHtened its fanga in tbe boy'a thumb. After shaking it off be went to Wagner's Wag-ner's brewery, where they gave him plenty ot whisky as au antidote for i the poidon, and hitched up a team, ; brought him to his mother's and then to Dr. Anderson. The boy's hand, arm and Bide swelled very much, but be is now apparently getting get-ting aloug very well. The boy owes his life to the kindness of Mrs. Wagner Wag-ner and the attendants there. j |
