Show The Orangemen. Montreal, 11. In announcing tho decision ot the Orangemen not to parade, Mr. Grant, county master, said no rights to march were waived' but it was decided to have no procession proces-sion to morrow. He hoped there would be no disturbance. Orangemen Orange-men voted thauks to all who had helped in this decision. The Irish Catholics, after discustbn, voud thanks to tho presidents of local societies, Protestant and Catholic for aiding in the desirable preservation cf peace and good will. The city wears a peaceable aspect to-night. The police and other leading lead-ing authorities think there will be no disturbance during tho day, but fear some trouble arising in the evening from indulgence in drink. The Irish Catholic union is holding a private meeting to night; Orders were received re-ceived from Ottawa to-day for all volunteer regiments to hold them selves in readiness in ease of emergency. |
