The governor after an interview with a committee from Huzleton telegraphed the sheriff of Luzerne county at Wilkesbarre that a committee of prominent men, representing both citizens and miners have assured him that the troubles have been greatly exaggerated, and promising if the troops are withdrawn, with-drawn, to aid the civil authorities in maintaining order. They also pleelge themselves in behalf ot the various miners' associations that what is known as "dead vork" at the mines will not be interfered with nor parties doing such work. The governor therefore asks that the sheriff will go at once to Hazleton, and investigate the condition of atlairs there, if he is satisfied that peace can be maintained without troops to inform the governor so they can be witluirawu.
