Show Unpleasant, Weatber or no. Professor J. H. Coffin, in his exhaustive ex-haustive memoir "On the Winds of tiie Northern Hemisphere," say's: "In the arotic regions of North America, lying within tho polar circle, the mean direction of the wind is about north-northwest, and veil defined." We are not exactly within the polar circle, but we can boast of just a mean wind, and wind jn just as mean direction as can be supplied in the arctic regions. Yesterday began with mud and ended with clouds of dust. We think we shall bo justified in keeping up our protest against this style of weather until the thing ia changed. . |
