Show Body Found. It will be remembered that on the 12th of last February, C. Van Wam-beke, Wam-beke, the mail carrier in American Fork Cafion, was lost, and that at the time he was believed to have beenlburiud in a snowslide. Diligent search was made for the body, but without success. Subsequently suspicion sus-picion rested oh a man named W. Burton as being the murderer of the mail carrier. Burton was followed to Beaver County, where he was arrested ar-rested and brought back to American Fork for examination. At the examination ex-amination the accused was committed commit-ted for trial and has since been lying in jail, awaiting the actioD of a grand jury. . On Tuesday a Mr. Osborne, gpinc: up American Fork Canon, discovered the body of Van Wambeke floating on the stream near High Bridge the scene of the extensive snowslide Ilasl Winter. The body was in an ad vanced Btate' of decomposition, ir truth was so far decomposed as to render ita . removal to the cemetery at the mouth of the cafion, where his friends desired that it should be interred in-terred impossible. The finding ol the body at that particular place now definitely settles it that the old gentleman gentle-man was buried in a snowslide; the discovery will therefore raise suspicion from Mr. Burton. An inquest was held Wednesday mornin.7, when the following verdict was rendered: Territory of Utah, Utah County. We, the undersigned jurors, summoned sum-moned to appear before Wm. Wilkinson, Wilkin-son, J. P. of said county, on this 2lJth day of April, lS7-i, to inquire into the cause ol' the death of C. Van Wambeke, Wam-beke, found lying dead in the creek at the High Bridge, or known as the high dugway, between Deer Creek and Forest City, having been duly sworn according to law, and Imving made inouisition after inspecting the bdy and hearing the testimony adduced; ad-duced; upon euroath we each and all do say that we find the deceased was named C. Van Wambeke, a native of Belgium, aged nbout 54 years; and that he cam to his death on or about the 12th day of February, 1874 by the sliding of snow (snowslide) which carried his body into said creek.
