Show Theatre. . The theatre will open to-morrow evening for a week's musical and 1 dramatic entertainment. Lnura Honey Stevenson, a lady who comes highly spoken of as a vocalist, pianist pian-ist aud dramatic artiste, commences an engagement in a piece dramatized byherselfentitled "Cameron Pride." It is an American play, h) though tho name sounds rather Scotch, aud abounds in fine situations, effective tableaux, and thrilling sensations. Madame Stevenson gives several choice musical selections during the piece, and introduces in tho concert1 scene her Tereat lightning changes. The play is Btrongly cast, Miss Walters Wal-ters has au immense part in which she will appear to great advantage. The other ladies who sustain parts in the play are, Mesdames Belle Douglas, Doug-las, M. Bowring, Shearman and Marden; Miss Dellic Clawson and Miss 3. Xappcr; while the male mVs are represented by Messrs. Thome, Forster, Marden, Wilton, Taylor, Garrick, Horsley and others. In the concert scene several specialties will le presented, consisting of songs and, dancea by members of the company and volunteers. The piece will be finely mounted and no pains will be spar'd to render'the drama a success. |
