I'lcusc Z A gentleman who stopped at a leading lead-ing hotel in town, walking up street recently, was accosted by a gentlemanly gentle-manly " friend," who made several "business" emjuiries of him and whose card he retpiestal. The gentlemanly gen-tlemanly friend naturally felt his card-ease, card-ease, found it empty, and invited his friend up stairs to his "ollice," an offer which our Anglelerre gcnlil-homme gcnlil-homme accepted. I'p stairs, looking for the card, he went, but instead of a card he was prcsental with a sideboard side-board of choice liquors, while that beautiful bank whenvu the wild thyme doesn't grow tho faro bank was in full view ; with three other " gentlemen " probably cappers close behind at tho head of the stairs.
