Show Cu't-rtNci off the Supply. Tho Oiuaha Herald has it that a Washington Washing-ton correspondent, under date February Febru-ary 1'S, pays Horace F. Clark, president of tho Union Pacific railroad has ordained or-dained that no uioru free passes shall be cither issued or printed; and this, because government withholds pay for its freight. Mr. Clark says over 3,000 passes have bocu given this year, many of them in tho interest of senators and congressmen, as well as other officials. This is becoming cruel. If congressmen congress-men can't travel free, and parsons at half fares, what's tho use of being a congressman or a parson? |
