Bo it ordained by tbo City Council of Salt Luke City, that no person shall, in said city, directly or indirectly, in person or by another, man u fact 'fro, Boll, barter, or otherwise other-wise dispose of, or permit to bo manufactured, manufac-tured, bartorod or delivered, for or on his account, any spirituous or fermented liquors, without a licence lirst obtained according to tho provisions of this ordinonco, as a dram or tippHnft shopkeeper, liquor dcalor, wine dealer, boor saloon koooor, distiller or brotvor. See. 2. A dram or tippling-shon koopor. is a person who sells spirituous and ferine Died liquors to bo drunk at tho placo of sale. A Ikjuor doalor is a person per-son who soils spirituous and fermented liquors, not to be drunk at tho placo of salo, A wino doalor is a poraon who sells wine exclusively. ex-clusively. Application for license under this ordinonco shall be made in writing to tho Mayor, nnd shall state whoro tho business is to bo carried on. Sec. 4. Un payment to tho City Treasurer of the amount heroin named and tho fulfilment of all other requirements of this ordinunco, tbo Mayor may issue lieonsea to applicants to carry on tho business asked ior, for tho period of throe months in the tonomont, designated in bis application, at tho following racos, viz: As a dram or tippling-shop koopor, four hundred and fifty dollars. As aliijuor dcalor, three hundred dollars. As a wino doalor, Beventy-livo dollars. Asa beer saloon koepcr, ono hundred dollars, dol-lars, As a distiller, throe hundred dollars. As a browor, ono hundred dollars-Provided, dollars-Provided, That tho Council may at any timo limit tho numbor of licenses to bo issued under this ordinance Sec. o. No liconso granted under this ordinance ordin-ance shall bo assignable or transferable, and no person or persons shall carry on any busi-pesa, busi-pesa, provided for in this ordinance, at any other place than tho ono designated in such See. Sec. 7. Any person obtaining licenso under this ordinance shall bo subject to tho folio wing regulation.-, Ho thall laiihiully obscrvo and keep all Ordinances in lorco in relation to liqur during tho period of such licenso;be shall not keep open his bar, huuso or place for tho sulo of liquors, nor sell, give away, or in any ' manner deal in, by himself, servant or other I person, any spirituous or fermented liquor bo-1 bo-1 tween tbo hours of eleven, p. in- and four, a. m. on any day of the week; ho shall prohibit all gaining, witb or without betting by means of cards, dominoes, ttico or other articles, ar-ticles, and every cameyfenance.
