Show Hallelujah Chorus. The chorus given yesterday at the closing of the Conference services in the Tabernacle, was a magnificent affair. Trof. Careless merits the thanks of the listeners for selecting it and pushing it through to tho fine perfection with which it was rendered. ren-dered. The chorus is always the most attractive portion of Handel's "Messiah," and with the powerful organ and large choir aingiug it, the musicdovera in the audience- were fairly brought to their fect. Though the singing during Conference was unusually good, tho Hallelujah Chorus Cho-rus merits more than a passing word of praise. It was grand! |
