Show Utah Northern Railroad. Col. Marti neau, engineer of the Utah Northern railrtd, informs us that tracklaying north of Logan is progressing, and that tho rails have about reached Hyde Park, two-thirds of the way to Smithfleld, where it is expected the winter terminus will be, though work will undoubtedly be extended ex-tended north of that point. The grading is done several miles heyoud Hyde Park, and there is plenty of ties andiron on baud. The southern extension lo Ogden is being pushed rigorously, and is expected to be completed com-pleted in six weeks, which will giro the U. N. R. R. some ninety miles of running between Ogden and Smith-field. Smith-field. This will enable the people of Cache County to travel to and from this city with but one change of oars, and the same with the transportation of freight. The road will be completed com-pleted to Worm Creek, in Idaho; with all possible rapidity. |
