Show The TiBBrrs Homicide. William Wilson was brought up again before ijudtre Clinton yesterday, on ihe charge of killing Wilford Tibbita, and two witnesses wit-nesses were examined for the prosecution prosecu-tion Dr. J. M. Benedict and Eliza Corbctt The doctor with his brother, j F. D. Benedict, had made a post mor-! mor-! tern examination and found the bullet 1 had pierced the intestines in eight 1 places, from where it entered near the navel until its lodgement in the right thigh, where he had cut it out: The lady was with Tibbits on the night of the ehootiog, and witnessed the affray, but she was so overcome with emotion that her evidence was somewhat disconnected. dis-connected. She testified, however, to I Wilson having fired the pistol, and said that Tibbits had not struck Wilson Wil-son when the first shot was fired. Whether this part of the testimony will bo subtantiated remains to be seen. The case was continued until 2 p.m. to-day, when the prosecution intends to introduce further evidence. |
