The Liberal State convention con-vention organized by the election of Chauncey Depew as permanent president presi-dent and the usual number of vice-presidents vice-presidents and secretaries. A resolution resolu-tion nominating judge Church for governor gov-ernor was referred to the committee on resolutions. The conference committee com-mittee reported for electors at large, Amasa J. Parker, Democrat : Henry R. Selden, Democrat; John E. William, Wil-liam, Democrat; with thirty-two district dis-trict electors, seventeen of whom are Democrats, and fifteen Republicans. A State committee of one from each congressional con-gressional district and three at large was appointed and a recess taken till two p.m. The Democratic convention reassembled reassem-bled at ten. The committee of conference confer-ence reported the Liberals willing to concede to the Democrats State ticket it the latter would allow them the congressmen at large. The report was discussed at length. Several objections were made to it, urging that the Democrats Dem-ocrats should have the congressmen at large whilo conceding the executive and supreme court to the Liberals. The discussion grew very warm, charges being freely made that the committee of conference had been packed. A resolution was finally adopted lor tbe appointment of a new conference committee. com-mittee. Tho committee of conferonco on the electoral ticket reported the same tioket as announced in the Liberal convention.
