Osborne was nominated for governor, on the tenth ballot, C. S. Stover, lieutenant-governor, W.H. Smallwood, secretary of State, judgo Kingman, chief justice, Webb Miller, auditor, J. H. Hays, treasurer, and A. L. Williams, Wil-liams, attorney general, The resolutions resolu-tions endorse tbo Philadelphia plat-1 form and nominees, plcdgo tho party in favor of the freo and uncorrupt exercise ex-ercise of tho elective franchise, both at the polls and in the legislature. The last resolution was adopted after a long and excited discussion &3 a substitute for one pledging against all candidates, for the U. S. senate next winter, who had been tainted with corruption in the past, or who attempt to use money or other improper influence in tho future. |
