Charge ol ombezzlemenL Specification in Ibis that on or about the first dny of December, in the year 181S, Robert D. Bogart, while serving as paymaster's clerk on board lhe United Slates receiving receiv-ing ship Vermont, at Now York, did tike from tho paymaster's safv 10,-tX0 10,-tX0 or thereabouts, belonging to the United Stales, furnished for the uso of the naval servico thereof, and did, knowingly and wilfully, embezzle to his own uso said money in violation of the act of congress, approved March 2nd, 1863, entitled : An act to punish frauds against tho United States.
