Iu order that ample time may be given to those who contemplate taking an active part in the exhibition, the directors have already prepared a pre- , ! mium list, oneriog to all competitors a fine opportunity of displaying their j skill, tact acd genius in producing . from materials at their command beautiful beau-tiful specimens ef tb.2 workmanship of their own hands. We cheert'uiiy acc-rd to the ladies all acknowledgment of the fact tbat in their department the Fairs have invariably inva-riably been a success, and when time has been given them the number of their specimens have never been meagre, and have generally exceeded that ot any other department. The dijoicy of labor is conceded by all intelhgeLt beings and the adage tbat there is "no excellence without labor" la-bor" has passed into an axiom or proposition pro-position to which assent is universally acknowledged. We feel, therefore, to ask your honorable hon-orable associations to unite with us, from Rich county iu the north to Wahington in the Bouth, in an endeavor en-deavor to make the exhibition of 1S73 a truthful exposition of our progress in material developments.
